Paediatric Network
The strategic body to support 'integrated commissioning and the interface between the Acute and Community Health services with the Voluntary sector'. The Network provides a forum to find local solutions to service change, development and service redesign. It reports to the Women and Children's Programme Board
Positive Handling Group
Promotes and raises awareness of the specific positive handling needs of children and young people with developmental and/or social communication disabilities, and the need for consistent, integrated and safe practice.
Produced Norfolk Joint Services Positive Handling Policy, Practice Guidelines and Toolkit which has been distributed across the settings where children are supported, educated or provided with care.
Set up pilot training in Team Teach for parents & carers.
We will be
- Monitoring the implementation of the Guidelines
- Reviewing the training
- Looking at other areas where the response to behavioural challenges is important
The group reports to the Disabled Children's Strategy
